I love old fashion fragrances as well as rose/peach/wood combination, but this one is just not good. It is neither well blended that you enjoy the combination of notes, no has distinct single notes to enjoy. There are better fragrances in this category: Noir TF, Portrait of Lady M, Her majesty Oud Atkinson

Mez0Nez

Musky rose, and jammy apricot fruity. It reminds me of Rose de Nuit (Serge Lutens) somehow, but more powdery, less honey-like.
I usually don't like a sweet rose with lactonic, but it is so well-balanced.
Soft and delightful, but the strength is so weak. It works like a so-called "skin scent". you should spray many times.

I love every single note in this fragrance, but the way they're blended, I can't smell them at all. Just something really oldfashioned that smells slightly medicinal.

To me this fragrance is so gorgeous, all apricoty, rosey and spicy! I love this perfume but no one in my family cares for it, so I blast myself all over in a cloud of loveliness and have the best day all by myself. Hahaha! I do my own thang!

Update: Today my husband hugged me and said, "You smell good!" I know I do! I'm wearing Rose Royale 1935 ;) :D

Thank you @mynameismaryam, i am desperately look for an Old School, Classy, Soapy one and because i read your comment, i made purchase in 5 mins ( i was researching about this fragrance for long time but no one let me know it smell Old School, otherwise i would purchase it long ago.

I have many in this line and this is my least favorite. So much so, I am decluttering it. Main reason being : it reminds me of "that"rose. The rose that makes people say they don't like rose fragrance. It's a soapy, old school, strong rose. To me, it is not fresh. Rose Kabuki by Christian Dior is fresh. This is like the water left from roses that have been in the same vase for years. Add the fruit to it and, to me, it's a mess. I'm sad because I wanted to add this to the collection.

Andy the Frenchy

Overly jammy rose, supported by sweet yellow fruits (mostly apricot). Quite synthetic to my nose. For sure 100% feminine, but not even sure I'd like to smell this on my lady, because this is a girlie girl rose, not a woman's rose imo.

At first spray (on paper), it smells exactly like the spiced fruit mead that ...ahem... a friend of mine made in their cabinet in college. It smells just like when the mead was ready and perfectly aged. Later, the perfume turns into roses dripping with fruity honey with a background smell of furniture in an expensive antiques store.

On skin: immediately, I smell like a spicy fruit. The rose comes a few minutes later. Eventually, the fruit fades a bit and you can really smell the musk and cashmere.

Very well done. It is a fragrance that tells a story: Someone catching a rose in a beautiful garden and the evolution of it! A realistic wet soil scent is the ephemeral opening of Rose Royale, then you feel a real rose scent enveloped by musks and dusts. Here, Sidonie Lancesseur adds a peach-osmanthus-apricot accord to make this rose close to your skin. The rest is up to you and your own story!

Powdery iris peaches & apricots.

Dusty sweet roses and peaches apricots mix with doses of dusty iris (not rooty or orris). It's like a cosmetic sweet apricots. Delicate, happy, and fresh (not citrus fresh).

This reminds me ALLOT of "Scent Of Hope" by DSH with it's fresh powdery peaches and apricots, and it could be similar to "Iris Gris" by Jacques Fath if we assume that "Scent Of hope" is similar to "Iris Gris". Impressive.

This delicious creation from the House of Lalique is quite simply a rush of roses done right, IMO. It is warm, elegant and, interestingly enough, quite yummy. There is no indication of raspberry being a note but my nose detects it; in fact it reminds me of Portrait of A Lady by Malle but is a softer, more alluring and playful in a sophisticated way. Were this a woman, she would be young, soft and lovely but not without character or strength of character.

If you like aristocratically elegant and yet mischievously playful rose scents with a nod to youth and fruity freshness, give this one a try.

This is a masterpiece for the rose lovers. Smooth, delicate, fruity red rose.. but on the feminine side. Projection is soft to moderate, it works with the warmth of the skin to become a moderate one after some minutes. Longevity is above the average.

Dominant note is the red Rose. The king at the opening along with the fruitness. As time passes osmanthus and peach become stronger. This is not a new smell for me. I've smelt this before in feminine scents. There is also mild musk and a shy apricot. This is not a sweet scent but there is a soft & discreet sweetness, light powderness and traces of faint soapness along with mild spiseness especially at the final stages. Rich but simple fragrance for the warm weather, day and night.

If you love rose & osmanthus, try it. This is a wonderful and classy feminine scent for all ages IMO but more suitable for 25+ women.

Rich, silky smooth and sensual "Rose Royale" is what the name implies - an ode to her Royalty the Rose. Peach blushes her sides, flowers peep in her hair and she is beautiful, elegant and majestic.

And yet deep down under all this aristocratic classiness and perfected womanity a musky-leathery recklessness wiggles, for her Royalty would peep her peach, blushless, as soon as given the chance.

A few years ago i would have classified this under the five star pantheon without blinking, but since then i've smelt too many rosy fragrances, and this one lacks that specific and hardly describable "element" that turns fondness into desire.

I like this perfume, but definitlyi don't love it, i don't think it worths the price, nothing special for me!

Macassar

it's very similar to Cartier " Declaration d'un Soir" but on "fruity-steroids", an opulent dark rose with a playful wink of fruits, it's more radiant, like if you would smell "Declaration d'un soir" (which reminds me of a dewy rose with the icy spirit of winter ) with the colors of a summery sunset , it really evokes a very dark rose splashed with the colorful notes of peaches & apricots . Very classy, mature , joyfull , generous....

blake.lee

Dark rose, jammy peach/apricot and wet cement. This is my impression.

Holy cow! The lovely reviewer just below me is not kidding - this abruptly moves from the most delicious and juicy rose to white musk & done. I have never seen a perfume morph faster. It's nice though, the musk is a little gauzy and spicy - and if sniff my arm - the peach/apricot is still there. I was looking forward to loving all of these noir premiers. I'll keep trying. California Reverie has got to be good!

LoriAlyse83

I really love how this opens, it's a really gorgeous sweet rose, but the follow through is mediocre at best. Once it dries it goes straight to a basic white musk and I never once detected the osmanthus. Definitely not fbw imo.

I'm a rose lover but I can only wear rose dominant perfumes when I love them head to toe and I don't love this one, maybe because I find it too simple to be a part of private line and justify it's more expensive price according to other Laliques.lalique is among my favorite brands because of it's well made fragrances of various olfactory genres with affordable prices but to be honest,I'm not a fan of it's private line
Why rose royale is categorized as an oriental floral is beyond me,since I see it a feminine floralfruity.oh well,it smells nice, opens with juicy, fruity notes of peach and apricot, which are ripe and sweet, soon rose kicks in while fruits still linger.I can also detect an oily osmanthus, hand in hand with rose til the end,so it also helps to keep the fruity undertone and prevents rose royale from becoming dry and powdery.when I saw rose, musk and cashmere woods in notes list,I immediately imagined a powdery rose scent(which a lot of people dislike, but I don't) so when I tried it,it's juicy and then oily texture dissapointed me,however I know more people find it an advantage
Drydown is about Musky rose with a faint sweet fruity/apricot undertone wrapped by cashmere wood.I find the drydown more pleasant, less feminine, less sweet and more elegant.I don't think musk here,is a white musk, because it doesn't turn rose to a soapy rose,it's a warm musk
All in all I like it,it's simple but still has elegance that I find intresting.although it opens with a sweet, honeyed fruity accord, isn't a bright girly fruity floral.I see it more as a night scent.it's wearable year round but I agree it's better for summer nights, also fall days
Longevity is very good on my skin, sillage is also good.well projecting without overpowering
It was a blindbuy for me and although I like it,I don't love it.I think it's better for someone more mature or with more formal/luxurious style

A perfect scent from heaven
A lovely Interesting and unique perfume.
it opens with a fruity scents then on base Cashmere Wood, musky and rose are alluring.
It is a unisex perfume.
I prefer wearing for men because first sniff is more woody and masculine.
The longevity is very well.
The projection is good(moderate).
nice job Lalique.

This exquisite fragrance opens with a luscious fruit accord comprised of delectable peach and apricot. Their sweetness and immediately recognizable stone fruit qualities are highly perceivable, being both juicy and nectar-like in tone. Mixed with the jammy rose absolute of the mid-range, it called to mind the comforting smell of marmalade. Exotic osmanthus blossom joins forces with the eponymous rose absolute in the heart of the composition to comprise an elegant floral accord. Osmanthus flower's scent carries facets of both apricot and freesia. Here it melds wonderfully with both the peach and apricot found in the opening top notes, while also adding a slight peppery, powdery vail over the dominating rose absolute. Here is a deep and powerful rose, one which is both seductive and alluring. Cashmere woods and delicate musks ground the perfume in a shroud of tantalizing mystery.

Rose Royale' by Lalique is a sumptuous take on the fruity-floral perfume genre. The composition has clear femininity while exuding an underlying coyness and inherent sexuality. I believe the fragrance would be beautiful on women of all ages, but I imagine it would take a more mature woman to carry off all of its confident sexiness. Sillage, projection and longevity are all above average for this "eau de parfum" concentration. The fragrance is suitable for year round wearing, but would be especially intoxicating in the humid nights of summer. Women, do yourself a favor and seek out and try this perfume today as I believe you will not be disappointed. The men in your life will surely take notice.
